39th MIBF Book Haul

Walang komento

Went here on September 14, 2018. Hoping to score those 75 peso deals in National bookstore!

The ticket cost me 35.00, I was an adult. There were discounts for students and teachers were free to enter.

The National bookstore booth at the ground floor housed books which you can score at 20% less.

Books were categorized according to publishers.

Here's one from Hachette book group.

They had a lot of cashiers at the end of the room. They really anticipated people coming, as a result payment was fast, and people rarely wait in line.

Here are the books I scored for 125.00, located at the second floor booth of NBS.

Got these at less than 20%.
The timekeeper - 276.00
For one more day - 252.00

The Winner Stands Alone - 196.00
Eleven Minutes - 196.00

China Rich Girlfriend -252.00
Rich People Problems - 280.00

Mythology -228.00

Magazines -20.00 each

Overall it was a great experience. I spent less than 2000.00 and I'm surely coming back for the 40th. A tip, come very early. Usually, books are all rambled up and they take too long to restock when you come in the afternoon or at the end of the day. Nevertheless, it was all worth it!

Taytay Haul Sept 2018

Walang komento
So last Thursday we went to the Taytay tiangge night market! We were told that Monday and Thursday nights were the "bagsakan" days, so we went at 10pm on those days.

Only a few stores like My Seoul, Jazphine, and Bagpi were open that night. I wouldn't recommend going to the night market if you want to get the best out of your money. Mornings are still preferred.

Moving on, we were so unlucky that night. It rained so hard and the power went out. A lot of the stalls closed their store earlier than expected 'cause they weren't sure when the power would come back. So we middle-class workers who only get to go there in our free time had to continue shopping with our phone lights on. The power did come back after an hour, but the stalls were limited by then since a lot of them closed early.

A few tips for those who would go to Taytay tiangge:

1. Magpabarya. Most of them won't accept your thousand peso bill. They'd be annoyed if they do.
2. Bring an eco bag, a must!
3. Go in comfy clothes. It's really hot in there, even at night.
4. If you're on a tight budget, bring the exact amount. If not, bring extra! Most of the clothes there are so cheap that it'd be hard to track your money.
5. Come with friends. One word, wholesale, wholesale, wholesale!
6. Haggle like your life depends on it! Most of them just want to go home and make the best out of the night, so sometimes they'll give it to you at a lower price just so they can make their sale.

So those were my tips and now let's proceed to what I bought and what you could buy at Taytay tiangge.
150.00 from the stalls outside
90.00 from Bagpi

65.00 each from Bagpi

65.00 from Bagpi

90.00 from Bagpi
150.00 from Bagpi

100.00 from My Seoul

40.00 each from the stalls outside

100.00 terno from Bagpi
All in all, I spent 995.00 for everything. Wow, under a thousand! Obviously, I got most of what I bought from Bagpi. Most of the sellers there stayed even if the power went out. Mga di nangiwan nga naman 😂.  This is the second time that I went to the night market, and I personally feel that the clothes that I bought were on the expensive side. Maybe it's because I didn't get to explore much, I was only in one area I used to score a lot of clothes ranging from 50-90 pesos. Anyway, you can still see how cheap it is to buy from the market. You can buy clothes there for any occasion. Whether you're going to the church, an outing, or normal office clothes.

I hope you visit the tiangge soon. Leave comments below on any random stuff and what you want me to review. Thanks!

Orange Peel & L-Glutathione Soap Review

I discovered this soap back in college when I was trying to find a soap that would help lighten those acne marks. I searched for reviews and found a girl that used this and whoa did it transformed her skin! Ever since 2017 I have been using this soap.
