It was a big part of the flawless acne set, and it did help my acne. But I was still looking for a soap that would not make me feel oily all day and is enough to prevent breakouts from all those lazy tired days. You may be wondering why I lasted years on this, well since flawless was doing my monthly facials it was ideal for me to use their products.
So here are my thoughts about this product. I hope I helped you with my reviews. Leave comments below if you have questions and what you want me to review next. Thanks!

First time volunteering - Kythe!
kaycee
I always knew that I was meant to do something larger than myself. I knew I wanted to save the planet earth, help people, and promote change or determination. One of the few strengths I can share with other people. I already started with my eco-friendliness journey this year. I have switched to all-natural products (shampoo, toothpaste, and cleansers), I don't use plastic straws and utensils, I use a bamboo toothbrush and I try to influence those people around me. I know most of the changes I have made are all internal, but as they say, to change the world you must start within.
Since I have been doing this a few months now, I have decided to expand the change externally. I have been looking at a website called iVolunteer, where you get to volunteer to places that interests you. I initially wanted to do bio pots making or coastal cleanups, but it was either too far or too late in the day. My priority right now is just to help wherever I can with my allotted schedule for volunteering. So I searched for other things that interest me and I found Kythe.
Kythe was a foundation started only as a study by two women from Ateneo De Manila. As they ended there study they felt like the project shouldn't stop because it was already helping a lot of patients, so Kythe was created. Kythe is focused on putting happy smiles on kids who have cancer, broken bones, and in the Pedia Ward.
You can only tend to the kids if you have attended the orientation, the schedules are posted on their website. You're only allowed to interact with the kids for 1 hour. The parents need to sign a consent form if you want your picture taken with their kid, don't worry forms are provided in the playroom. Also, the reason why I only have one picture. You also need to pay 350.00 for the Kythe shirt. The kythe shirt is a must in order to be recognized that you are a volunteer. You know people who didn't have a purpose was not allowed in the hospital. Besides the shirt nothing was needed to be paid, you will use the shirt whenever you decide to volunteer for Kythe again.
The Kythe coordinators were really friendly. I also enjoyed how the coordinators and volunteers expressed that they were also finding their purpose in life. It's great to be in a room with people you are sharing advocacy with. If you would ask me if it was hard, it really wasn't. Especially if you have the heart for kids. Even though they were sick, they were really 'makulit'! I played with 2 kids who were Jed and Yensen. There was a cart where kids get to choose what activity they want to do. They can play games, color some books and read. Some were challenging to entertain, those who were already in their teens find it awkward when you ask them if they want to play, so you have to capture their interest and that's when you can start the interaction.
This experience was very fulfilling and eye-opening. I was exposed to the image of how a public hospital works. The number of patients didn't match the number of beds, so 2-3 kids have to stay in one bed. Parents there became friends due to the number of days that they were already in there. Talking to each other was the only thing that killed their boredom. Kythe was really helpful since they make the patients happier despite the situation they're in. They get to have a friend or a playmate on most days, which elevated their mood and contribute to keeping the fight going. I was very lucky to be a part of this experience. I get to put a smile on their faces. It was a give and take experience, we made ourselves happier and fulfilled. I can't wait to try other volunteering experiences as well. And you don't have to worry if you're going alone, because a lot of people go by themselves. I hope I left a little excitement in you in terms of volunteerism and I hope you do help change the world one step at a time.

Review: ACV + Conditioner
kaycee
Today I am going to try the raved conditioner + ACV. I saw this Facebook post where the girl really had straight hair after use. It even looked like she ironed her hair. So I've decided to try it for myself and do an honest review of it.
A brief back story. My hair was beautifully long and thick when I was a kid, then I started swimming. My hair then was always exposed to chlorine making it dry and brittle. I only had hair treatments on special occasions like graduations. Besides that, it was only the usual shampoo. When I was in college I started getting treatments every 6 months. My hair was chemically treated. It was always beautiful for the first three months, and after that, it would look all dry and damaged again. So now that I'm working I decided to start taking care of my hair and start using organic hair products.
So for this experiment, I have my ACV, shower cap, Aloe Vera conditioner, and mixing bowl.
I am going to test the effectivity of this ACV + conditioner. The mixture is composed of 2 teaspoons of ACV and a few pumps of my conditioner until it looked like the right mix. I then proceed to put it on my hair using my hands, I tried to use a brush but it would take forever since my hair was so thick. After that, I waited for 30 mins and then I washed my hair. Since this is ACV it really did reek!
So this is mine before and after photos. I only used Aloe Vera conditioner in my before photo. Aloe Vera + ACV in my after. And I wanted to include an after 1-day photo because this is a hair mask, which should be done once to twice a week. We don't want a hair mask that only takes effect on the same day use. For the after 1 day I used my Gugo shampoo.
Comparing the three pictures, my hair didn't miraculously straighten like those salon pictures or the one I saw in Facebook. But it did soften my hair, and it was less wavy, unlike the before picture. What I couldn't stand though was the smell! It's still here after shampooing my hair.
So is this worth repeating? Well, it did straighten my hair a bit, but I don't want to smell like vinegar for days. It reeks especially when you're all sweaty. So I guess not. But It's worth a try if you already have the ingredients at home.

Making an effort to go zero waste!
kaycee
So this year since I already have the means to do it, I decided to seriously take my passion for living an eco friendly and greener life. I know, I know ...how it can be pricey to do it at first, but you get to save the environment one bit at a time, now isn't that worth it?
Starting off with my metal straws and bamboo toothbrush. I think my advocacy started when I saw those sea creatures getting harmed by plastics. It's when people don't throw their trash in the right place, I mean how hard is that?
My workmates and I bought this on Instagram at metalstrawph. Since we love buying milk teas during sweldo (yey, coco!), and that fast-food fave whenever we're too lazy to think of what to eat, it was a must to purchase those straws. Plus, I also like to start my day right with a good breakfast, usually, that breakfast consists of a bottled Vitamilk. And you all know how hard it is to drink in a bottle without a straw. I admit how it is a hassle to carry around a pouch full of straws, especially when you're forgetful or carry a small bag. So if I forget it what I do is I sip my drinks, if it's possible.
Next is my bamboo toothbrush. Its bristles are so soft. At first, I was afraid I might break the handle if I brush too hard. But since it's made from bamboo, I doubt it would break. I pair this with my organic Himalaya toothpaste. I have been using this for a month now and although I have braces the bristles are still intact. Good job with that.
I don't use a plastic spoon and fork. I have my utensils. I think it's a good thing when I still try to get those plastic utensils from fast foods, since I don't want it to fall in the wrong hands. You don't need special utensils, just get one from your home.
I also tried bringing my own container whenever I buy from the canteen. Instead of putting it in a plastic or giving it to me in a box, I give them my container. But my gosh, it's true that you need a lot of patience on this. They often roll their eyes or look at each other as if it is it was a crime when I gave them my container. But with patience and effort, I do try to understand them. Maybe it's because they don't know how much they have to put in, and of course, since hundreds of people buy in a canteen they already know the precise measurement of the viand they have to put if it is in a container they're used to using.
So how much did all of this cost?
Metal straw set - 255
*1 colored jumbo
* 1 colored regular
* pouch
* brush
Bamboo toothbrush -75
See, for 300+ you get to do a part in saving the environment. Canvassing, I think metalstrawph has the most affordable price. You can also mix and match the colors of your straw, or get the bendy ones. They have lots of options to be exact (This is not sponsored btw).

Just some pictures for you guys to be aware of why I am pushing this advocacy (photos are not mine; google images). These creatures are only two of the millions that are affected by littering and the use of plastics.
So I hope I inspired you in my own little way. Throw your trash at the right place. Stop using plastics and together we'll help the environment one step at a time.

How to drink Apple Cider Vinegar?
kaycee
So you all know how Apple Cider Vinegar is the wonder potion of the decade. It claims to be a remedy for a lot of stuff, like treating dandruff, lowering cholesterol, and such (ACV Benefits). And being the gym buff wannabe that I am, I wanted to supplement my routines with a faster remedy to achieve my goal. I want to be fit, like toned fit, not flabby fit that when you touch your inner thighs it still sends waveeees to your outer thighs. So my goal is to have a flat stomach and say goodbye to the thunder thighs.
I know ACV is vinegar. I did a lot of research on how to drink this. Most of them say just drink it with honey, it's fine, it's bearable. So I did.
I even bought a *what do you call this? old age feels* anyway, a cup with a straw cause I didn't want ACV to ruin my teeth, ACV weakens the enamel and will produce cavities.
So I mixed it 2 tbsp ACV, 2 tbsp honey, water, and ice. I noticed the honey was too thick and it clung to the edge of the straw so I couldn't mix it well. Maybe in the future, if someone would still try this try heating the honey so it would mix well with the other ingredients.
I took my first sip, and yeah I thought to myself it was bearable especially with ice. This would taste so bad without ice. But as I progress the ice was melting, ACV was burning my throat and honey was no help. I didn't finish what I prepared to cause the ACV's taste was overpowering. I can not do this every day, it would feel like a chore!
Fast forward, I did some research. And voila! What you see in the photo is the perfect mix. How is it the perfect mix? Cause you can't even taste the ACV. At times when I increase the ACV portion, it would taste like pineapple's part.
Price:
Daiso Cup - 150.00
Pineapple Blueberry - 69.00
Bragg's ACV (473 mL) - 189.00
Now I look forward to drinking it day and night. So drinking ACV doesn't have to feel like a chore. You can also mix this with grape juice, cranberry, or pure blueberry. Berries have a strong taste that masks the taste of ACV. Next, I will update you if it did make my flabby stomach and thunder thighs smaller in a matter of days or weeks, as what a lot of people claim.
